Piers and columns are vital components in construction, classified based on the shape of the concrete body: round end pier, rectangular pier, portal pier, and frame pier.
In railway engineering, the round-end pier column is predominantly used. This includes hyperbolic piers, corbel piers (heaven and earth circle/upper circle and lower circle), hollow piers, and more. These formworks are typically reinforced with tie rods or trusses.
The selection of formwork material is guided by mechanical model calculations. The production process for pier column formworks is notably different from that of standard combined steel formworks. Usually, the construction unit provides component design drawings, which are then utilized by formwork designers to create the final product.
Customized according to blueprints and integrating feedback from the construction unit, the resulting formwork stands apart from ordinary fine machining products and conventional construction steel structures.
