Piers and columns are fundamental elements in construction, classified by the shape of the concrete body: round end pier, rectangular pier, portal pier, and frame pier.
In railway engineering, the round-end pier column is predominantly used, including types such as hyperbolic piers, corbel piers (heaven and earth circle/upper circle and lower circle), hollow piers, and more. These formworks are generally reinforced using tie rods or trusses.
The selection of formwork material is determined by mechanical model calculations. The manufacturing process for pier column formwork is distinctly different from that of standard combined steel formworks. Typically, the construction unit provides component design drawings, which formwork designers then utilize to create the final product.
Tailored according to the blueprint and incorporating feedback from the construction unit, the resulting formwork is distinguished from ordinary fine machining products and conventional construction steel structures.
