Piers and columns are vital components in construction, classified by the shape of the concrete body: round end pier, rectangular pier, portal pier, and frame pier.
In railway engineering, the round-end pier column is the most prevalent type, including hyperbolic piers, corbel piers (heaven and earth circle/upper circle and lower circle), hollow piers, and more. These formworks are typically reinforced using tie rods or trusses.
The selection of formwork material is based on mechanical model calculations. The manufacturing process for pier column formwork is markedly different from that of standard combined steel formworks. Generally, the construction unit provides component design drawings, which are then used by formwork designers to create the final product.
Customized according to the blueprint and incorporating feedback from the construction unit, the resulting formwork stands out from ordinary fine machining products and conventional construction steel structures.
