Piers and columns, vital components in construction, are classified by the shape of the concrete body: round end pier, rectangular pier, portal pier, and frame pier.
In railway engineering, the round-end pier column dominates, including hyperbolic piers, corbel piers (heaven and earth circle/upper circle and lower circle), hollow piers, and others. These formworks are generally reinforced using tie rods or trusses.
The selection of formwork material is based on mechanical model calculations. The manufacturing process for pier column formwork is markedly different from standard combined steel formworks. Typically, the construction unit provides component design drawings, which formwork designers then use to create the final product.
Customized according to the blueprint and incorporating feedback from the construction unit, the resulting formwork is distinct from ordinary fine machining products and conventional construction steel structures.
