Piers and columns-the backbone of construction-are classified based on the shape of the concrete body: round end pier, rectangular pier, portal pier, and frame pier.
In railway engineering, the round-end pier column is the dominant type, encompassing hyperbolic piers, corbel piers (heaven and earth circle/upper circle and lower circle), hollow piers, and more. These formworks are typically fortified using tie rods or trusses.
The selection of formwork material is driven by mechanical model calculations. The manufacturing process for pier column formwork is markedly different from that of standard combined steel formworks. Typically, the construction unit supplies component design drawings, which are then utilized by formwork designers to craft the final product.
Customized to the blueprint and incorporating feedback from the construction unit, the resultant formwork stands distinct from ordinary precision machining products and conventional construction steel structures.
